‘ABSTRACT 11JAN is one of the wide range paintings that I have created during the last few years. An artists output is constantly changing. I can be inspired by quite trivial things, or spectacular things.

I used to paint abstracts and only abstracts. That is because this is the pure essence of a visual piece without the preconception, influence, or constraints of a subject. I always think that it is rather like music without words. So the artist just explores paint, texture, colour and shape. Much later I used the painting lessons learned and went back to creating images with a subject. Their strength must be in the underlying abstract qualities.‘  CR
