The granite obelisk is about three and a half thousand years old. That is Cleo's Needle not Big Ben. It has been on the Embankment in London since 1878. It is one of a pair, the other is in Paris.
Actually it has nothing to do with Cleopatra. She came along a thousand years after it was sculpted. " CR
